Peaches has a drugs overdose

PEACHES Geldof stopped breathing for several minutes and could have died or suffered brain damage after a suspected drug overdose in her flat.
The pretty 19-year-old was given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions by a pal to keep oxygen pumping to her brain.
Emergency crews raced to the scene on Sunday afternoon to find the party-loving part-time TV presenter – daughter of Sir Bob Geldof – unconscious.
The drama raised worrying memories of her mother Paula Yates’ death after an overdose in 2000.
Terrified Peaches was successfully revived at the flat in trendy Camden, North London.
She began sobbing hysterically but then refused to go to hospital for fear her rock legend dad, organiser of the Live Aid charity concerts, would find out.
Former Boomtown Rats singer Sir Bob, 56, has publicly said he would go “ballistic” if Peaches ever turned to drugs.
A source said: “Peaches could not breathe for several minutes after suffering a respiratory arrest. Her friend had to give chest pumps and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
“If she had not received this she could have died or she could have suffered brain damage. Peaches had gone into respiratory arrest, in which a patient’s breathing stops but the heart doesn’t.
Serious
“It was extremely serious and there is no doubt her friend saved her life.”
Other sources confirmed that Peaches was terrified of Sir Bob finding out.
One said: “No one could believe this has happened to Sir Bob Geldof’s daughter, particularly considering what happened to her mother.”
Amazingly Peaches, dating singer Faris Badwan of rock band The Horrors, shouted at the paramedics who helped her.
The source added: “When she came too she started mouthing off and told the ambulance crew, ‘You have to respect my privacy’. She then told them to get out.
“And she refused to go hospital to have further treatment because she was worried about it getting out.”
London Ambulance confirmed its crews attended the scene.
A spokeswoman said: “We were called shortly before 4:45pm yesterday (Sunday) to an address in London N1, to reports of a female patient taken ill.
“We sent an ambulance, a bicycle responder and a fast response car to the scene.
“Following assessment, the patient did not need hospital treatment.”
Peaches refused to talk about the incident yesterday.
Over the intercom, a friend said: “Peaches is here but we don’t want to talk to journalists.”
Sir Bob also refused to comment.
Peaches was well enough to turn heads on the red carpet last night at the European premiere of The Dark Knight, the latest Batman film.
Wearing a short, clown-like dress, she showed off her legs and several tattoos in London’s Leicester Square.
She handed dealer £190
PEACHES was seen offering a drug pusher up to £190 in May.
In a video obtained by The Sun, she hands over the cash and says: “I’m going to need Valium after this.”
Drug cops wanted her to help nail the dealer.
She was questioned under caution but not charged.
