SOCCER legend THIERRY HENRY has issued a bitter warning to his ex-wife CLAIRE: “Hands off my fortune.”

The former Arsenal striker has blasted as “unrealistic” her rumoured demands for a £10million slice of his cash.

The warring pair are now set for a long and bloody court battle to decide her cut.

Ex-model Claire, 27 — mum of their daughter Tea, two — split with Henry after he went on a string of dates with make-up artist Sadie Hewlett.

She found raunchy texts on his phone and he moved out — with Claire vowing to “take him to the cleaners”.

Their four-year marriage ended when she was granted a quickie divorce last September on the grounds of Henry’s “unreasonable behaviour”.

Claire, from Croydon, South London, is demanding a settlement based on French international Henry’s earnings.

But he claims he was a success before he and Claire met on the Va Va Voom Renault ads in 2001 — and she was not involved in decisions about his professional life.

Henry, 30, made his £16million move to Barcelona after they split and rejects any claims for a settlement related to his £130,000-a-week wage at the Spanish club.

Legal sources have also said Henry plans to RETIRE at Barcelona.

Her bid for a chunk of money from some of his ad deals — including Pringles and McDonald’s — have also been refused because they were agreed after the pair broke up.

He has also thrown out her claims for a cut of their £5.9million marital home in Hampstead, North London, because he bought it before they wed in July, 2003.

His lawyers are Mishcon de Reya, which acted for DI in her divorce from PRINCE CHARLES, while Claire has hired top divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton, who represented PAUL MCCARTNEY in his split with HEATHER MILLS.

A legal source said: “Thierry has made an offer to Claire, which she has turned down flat. His legal team have really come on strong — warning her to shape up for a messy and bloody battle.

“But it’s ridiculous. They’re making out Thierry is practically living on the breadline.

“They’ve even said her lifestyle with him would have suffered after he gave up football, which is highly unlikely.

“It’s a case of what’s mine is mine.

“This is the mother of his child, after all.”
