MISS England beauty Laura Coleman revealed last night that cricket star Stuart Broad dropped her — to concentrate on his game.

Gorgeous Laura, 22, told how the England all-rounder whisked her on a romantic break to Dubai during a secret ten-month affair.

But she was hit for six when he told her cricket was his first love.

Blonde Laura, a business and marketing graduate, said: “We enjoyed a great time together.

“But cricket meant we were apart a lot. I was heartbroken that it didn’t work out, because I really liked him.

“We’re both very independent and have massive careers. We made a mutual decision to part.”

The pair first met as children at playgroup but lost touch until they were reintroduced in May last year.

Friends described them as “the perfect couple”, although she admitted: “I didn’t know much about cricket, I didn’t even know it was a full-time job.”

Laura beat 49 girls to clinch the Miss England title in London last week and will compete in Miss World in Ukraine on October 4.

But Stuart, 22 — one of England’s rising new stars and playing in the test series against South Africa — has not been in touch to congratulate her.

Laura, of Melton Mowbray, Leics, said: “I doubt he’ll even be aware of it.”

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire player Broad said last night: “Stuart’s cricket commitments have grown rapidly.

"It made continuing the relationship difficult.”
