How to think originally?
I'm trying to generate and develop ideas for my art folio 12 years, I want my ideas to be interesting, creative and original. But if you cannot think of anything to do with it, "how to be original" in general, be well. thanks champions
I was helping my sister with something similar a while ago .. ago. Since everyone in the world is one I asked what he thought was something that made her different from others. Then used this idea to its concepts. His idea was significant because it was a representation rather than the original was because it was something unique for her. If you have difficulty think about what it's about you that makes you different from others, think about your hobbies, what was your childhood, his heritage, his weaknesses, his fav music or movies. It might even be a piece thats a visual biography of you car! Or maybe a part of his personality inspires an image. One might also think about abstract representations feelings or personality traits. For example, if you love plants and flowers that you could make a painting of a person who makes the vid. Consider the restrictions he has with his work. Must it be 2D or you can make a sculpture? Can I use the photograph? Can be made of found objects or perhaps could be a mural on a wall in your school? Could it be a small book of images or a series of posters? Can I use light projections, or perhaps even could involve fashion design? Check out some art books and be inspired by all types of art in the world. Another great way is to brainstorm ... Write down all your ideas down. Sometimes these ideas need new ... to write well. Soon have a large sheet of paper covered with ideas. Sleep on it, if you have time and read more of his ideas the next day. Then pick some of his favorites and put some more thought into them - why do you like, how can make them unique, and so on. Continue and eventually an idea should pop out at you. Get some information from your art teacher or friends in their class and see what they think - that could give a totally new perspective! See if your art teacher has folios of the past and ask students to tell what is good and bad about them. This gives you an idea of what are looking for and help you get a fantastic degree!
