How can I make my own website to sell my oil paintings?
I would put my oil paints out around the world can them.
To make your own website, you must first find a company to host your website. Some examples are: http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/webhosting/ http://www.godaddy.com http://www.dotanything.net All of these require payment, but giving an excellent service and a large amount of space and monthly transfer. There is others that are free, but they provide less space and services. Some examples are shown below: If you use Geocities http://pagecreator.google.com http://geocities.yahoo.com or Pagecreator come with easy to use software package creation site, for free. If you choose one of the others I've listed, you may need a basic knowledge HTML, the language used by Web developers to create web pages. It is very simple and one or two online tutorials, plus a library book should be sufficient to begin. Then you can get a free program for editing HTML, as PageBreeze, or you can pay a couple hundred dollars for an amazing top-of-the-line HTML Editor called Adobe Dreamweaver 8 (available at http://www.adobe.com). Then all you need do is create your page, and after him! For more details on how to create and publish your page, you may need to consult your web host and your HTML editor (unless you use Geocities or Google PageCreator).
